High School Program
We provide
prevention/intervention specialists to eleven Philadelphia area non-public schools.
These specialists work with the schools to provide an array of services to
students, school staff and parents. Our specialists work in the classroom
setting to provide prevention and education programs to students. They
work with students individually and in small groups to provide intervention and
support services on a variety of issues. Our specialists consult with
faculty and administrators to provide a behavioral health perspective to
problematic situations confronting today’s educators.
Our specialists also work with teachers and
administrators to facilitate the functioning of the Student Assistance Program.
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a Pennsylvania mandated program. The goal
of SAP is to identify, assist and refer students who are experiencing “barriers
to learning." Our specialists also consult with parents around
a variety of issues that affect families. The issues our specialists
address with students, school staff and parents include mental health problems,
substance abuse, family problems, relationship issues, grief, separation and
divorce of parents, academic issues and many others.
